Her Campus InfluenceHer Fall Essentials Kit Review

I’ll never be happy to see summer end, but I still am excited for fall and all of the things it brings. Warm, cozy sweaters on chilly nights, bonfires, coffee shops, corn mazes–there’s so much to love about fall. Her Campus recently launched a new subscription box with the InfluenceHer Collective (which I am happily a member of!). The InfluenceHer Fall Essentials Kit for this autumn is filled to the brim with products that will help you enjoy this fall even more. I received the kit and could not have been happier about what I found inside! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already had a peek into the box and heard a little bit about the products. In today’s blog post, I’ll be sharing all of the things you’ll receive if you sign up for this box, and telling you about what I thought of the products since trying them out. This post is sponsored by Her Campus Media. All opinions are my own. I promise to only post about the brands and things I actually love!

The box itself is a really good size, a pretty color, and contains a helpful information card that tells you what all of the products are and includes brand links (for the Instagram pics you know you’ll want to share). Thank you again to Her Campus for sending it over–I loved getting to work with you!

School Essentials

First up in the box, and possibly the best item out of the whole box, is the High Sierra Elly Backpack. High Sierra as a brand create amazingly cute, practical and reliable products. This backpack came in a print I absolutely loved, and I know that some of the other bloggers who received this box got backpacks in pretty solid colors, too. The backpack has a padded tablet/technology pocket inside and actually includes a matching zip-up accessory pouch. I like to have lots of pockets in my backpacks and this one does not disappoint! It’s the perfect size to hold everything you need while avoiding being bulky or too large. Right now, the backpack is on sale for half off on High Sierra’s website (linked above).

Beauty Essentials

For beauty, the box comes with four new beautiful Almay Goddess Gloss lip glosses. They are in the prettiest shimmery colors and work well on a variety of skin tones. Almay did a phenomenal job of developing lip glosses that don’t leave your lips sticky–just moisturized and smooth. As someone with sensitive skin, lips, eyes-you name it, I appreciate that these are made with natural ingredients like pomegranate, grape, and raspberry oils.

Skincare Essentials

Your fall skincare will be taken care of with the Fall Essentials Kit as well. Bliss included one full size Lemon + Sage Body Butter, and TONS of little mini sizes of the same product. I received enough to give to friends and family while having plenty for my room, backpack, and desk. This cult-favorite is one of the most popular products by Bliss. Prior to this, I had only tried out face masks from Bliss (which I love) and these body butters lived up to the hype. Simultaneously rich and fast-absorbing, the body butter leaves skin smooth, soft, and hydrated with a really gentle lemon-fresh scent. Part of why I love this product is that it’s a much more affordable dupe for the Fresh Sugar Lemon Body Lotion (my favorite lotion ever). It does have a slightly different scent, but it’s still a lovely one.

Snack Essentials

Snacks are another essential provided in this box. I received Garden of Life protein bars in two flavors: Maple Sea Salt GoL Bar & Chocolate Sea Salt GoL Bar. My mom, sister, and I all tried these bars out. I usually don’t like protein bars, but these are soft, chewy, and made with natural, wholesome ingredients. They aren’t too sweet, but if you like protein bars you’ll definitely love these! Bonus: if you are on a gluten free diet, these bars are fine for you to eat! They are certified gluten free and come in four great flavors.

Sleep Essential

Finally, the box accounts for the biggest essential that accompanies fall and back-to-school season: sleep! Her Campus has a shop with merchandise and really modern, adorable products called hcxo shop. They included the sweetest little silk sleep mask that says Never stop dreaming. Soft as can be and perfect for keeping your roommate’s night light out so you can get your beauty sleep, this mask gives you the rest you need while staying breathable and comfortable.
